Q & A with Peyton List

We sat down with our amazing partner for a little Q&A sesh to get to know her a little better. From her thoughts on growing up a Disney star to sharing her go-to Karaoke song, read on to get the scoop on all-things Peyton!

Why did you decide to create your own bath collection with Hallu?

I never collaborate with a brand unless it is involving something I truly love. Everyone who knows me knows my favorite way to unwind at the end of a day is with a bath. Collaborating to create the Geode bath bomb, the interlocking hearts, and the Gold candle bath bomb really sealed the deal – it felt different than anything I had ever seen before and our visions aligned. The Hallu team is made up of such a hardworking beautiful group of women and we are creating products for ourselves that we love and sharing them with the rest of the world.

What other products would you like to develop in the future?

We are in the works of creating a Holiday Bath collection. With more time being spent at home, I just want to keep creating products that help allow people to take a moment for themselves.

Which product(s) out of your line do you use the most?

I use the silky soft pink bubble bath almost every day. I’m in love with the scent and am obsessed with a good bubble bath at the end of the day. My favorite is the Heart of Gold Bath bomb with the candle in the middle. I turn all the lights off and it is my moment of peace.

What was it like growing up as a Disney star?

Before the show aired they sat all of us down and told us your life is about to change, and it truly did. For me, it meant doing what I love on set and living my childhood dream. We would go to school on set with just the four of us kids on the show, and then for the rest of the day we got to work on (to me) what seemed like a massive playground. With special effects, stunts, wild guest stars. I got to experience things I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined.

Would you want to do a movie with your twin brother someday?

Spencer guest starred on the show BUNKD playing Eric, our camp rival, and that was the most fun experience ever watching him suddenly shift into work mode. When all I do is joke around all day, he made me step up my game aha. I would LOVE to do a movie with him. We are actually working on a screenplay at the moment for just that reason.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is pretty simple. I feel like I have a uniform at this point. I go for my chunky black boots, high waisted Levi Jeans, maybe a tight underneath to peep out, studded belt,  and a cute crop top or vintage jacket. I love vintage or thrift shopping and mixing highs/lows. Some days I’m working out in the gym training in a sports bra and leggings and others I’m in a vintage Hawaiian shirt and my Levi’s. It really shifts with whatever project I’m working on.

Which celebrity were you the most excited to meet/work with?

I just worked on the movie Hubie Halloween With Adam Sandler and not only was I excited to work with him, but he works with all of his friends and family in all of the projects her creates, and they’re all there in front of the camera/behind which is truly goals.

What stands out as your favorite role?

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Emma on Jessie, but playing Tory on Cobra Kai has really been my favorite role to play so far. I love getting to do fight training with stunts and learn karate choreography every week. It is super challenging but Tory, although flawed, is an intense female character who will take down anything in her path which is very fun to play. Also, Cobra Kai came to Netflix August 28th AND I CANNOT BE MORE EXCITED!

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?

I have received so much advice that has stuck with me, but a lot of it is you can’t please everyone and you’ll never make everyone happy so just do your own thing, make your own path and people will follow. I live by putting in the work and people will take notice.

What’s next for you?

I have been filming within my house these last few months and a lot of Zoom, but now we are starting to learn what filming outside again looks like. I am about to start filming as of this month in LA and until then, I’m hanging with my foster puppies at home.

What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?

I am a little much when it comes to organization. I am constantly cleaning my house and my friends will have to drag me out to get me to stop.

What’s your favorite quote?

“We become responsible adults when we become disobedient daughters. When we finally realize that the best way to honor our parents is to trust fully the women they raised: Ourselves.” -Glennon Doyle, Untamed

If you could meet one person, past or present, who would it be?

Presently, I would love to have drinks with Jane Fonda. I just watched her documentary and she has been through quite the life so I’d love to get her advice.

What would be your dream job (besides your current job, of course!)

I love to write I’d love to write screenplays and have them be adapted into movies and sit behind the scenes and watch my words come to life.

What is your go-to Karaoke song?

“Dancing Queen” by ABBA or “Wannabe” by The Spice Girls

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Oh goodness… whatever it is I know I’ll hate it eventually but either a Harvest Bowl with rice, chicken, apples, avocado and the whole shabang or Chicken Tenders with French fries and special sauce.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Super speed I like to be efficient and I hate travel time/airports so that would be A DREAM!
